**Requiem** is a 32-level **vanilla** megawad released by map designers who previously worked on {{tagpage>the_innocent_crew&dynamic|Memento Mori I & II}}. It was conceived as "the last great megawad for Doom" as Doom was seen as "dying" in obsolescence after the release of Quake brought true 3D to the first-person shooter genre.\\
\\
It is notable for popularizing tricks that are used even today, including faked 3D bridges.
